Spelunking?

Sunday afternoon we traveled an hour south to McCormick's Creek State Park. Always up for a hike in the woods, Isaac and Jacob were very interested in the exposed limestone bedrock in the park's ravines and stream beds. The Wolf Cave, a place Nancy visited yearly as a child, was no match for these intrepid adventurers. A quick, and very dark, 10 minute journey through (easy if you are 4 feet tall) and we were out the other end and through the two stone bridges.

We also discovered this fallen Sycamore tree, at least 6' across before it split and fell in every direction. These two superheroes were pretending that their muscles did the work.

Thanks PaPaw

Papaw Jim Embrey came up this past weekend to surprise us with a gift for Jacob. He build a toy chest and dresser for Isaac few years ago and this time came to deliver a toy chest for Jacob. It is beautiful.

Thank You PaPaw for all of your hard work.

The Wild Woods

Last weekend we took Mommy on one of our favorite hikes in Southwestway Park, here in Indianapolis. The mile or two is always achievable with one of Daddy's playgrounds at the end.
