White River State Park

Friday afternoon Isaac and Jacob ventured downtown to enjoy the warm weather. In White River State Park there are numerous things to be climbed and explored. Mostly, limestone blocks. This is Indiana after all.

Downtown Adventure Part 2

We walked past the RCA Dome, in the midst of being recycled.

The boys visited Lucas Oil Stadium, home of the Colts, for the first time. Isaac says" It was great to see the stadium, but the motorcycle trade show wasn't as cool as the Colts."

Jacob says "The drag racers were tipped up so you could walk under them." We saw drag cars, boats, tractors, planes, nascars and sprint cars. Even a gator with tractor treads.

Downtown Adventure Part 1

Daddy worked a half day today and took the boys downtown to go exploring.

The view from the top of the Soidiers and Sailors Monument was great. It was worth the climb. Jacob says "It was cool."

Isaac says "we climbed all the way up there." Isaac and Jacob climbed 331 steps, before we took the elevator down.

Before we left, Jacob told Uncle Matt, we are going to Indianapolis today!
Jacob said " I was really happy to see downtown."

Weekend Project

It took 8 years, but we made time this weekend to paint our bedroom. Nancy bought a bedspread 6 months ago, but we didn't want to get it out until the work was done. With the termite fiasco behind us, we could look for new ways to spend the weekend. Any suggestions for next weekend?

Winter Arrived!

Last week, for the first time since 2007, we had a decent snowfall. Daddy considers snow of over 6" the only decent sort. We had 16" in two snowfalls! The boys enjoyed sledding and digging, for once, not in the muddy backyard.

We traveled to Rhodius Park hill, a place Jacob did not remember and enjoyed an hour of near misses and collisions. We are going to need a faster sled next time, and a bigger hill.

New Years Day

As we dis a year ago, we hosted Scott and Wendi McClain, and their two girls Madilyn and Lauren on New Year's Day. The kids enjoy games and crafts, as well as the new Webkinz the McClain's presented to the boys. They are a big hit. (the girls and the toys)

Christmas 2008

Cousins Evan and Olivia came by the house a couple of weeks before Christmas.

Christmas morning was all is should be for the boys. Isaac was up at 3:30 and never able to go back to sleep. Too excited. He received spy gear and some legos. Jacob received (from Santa) a digital camera and remote control Mario Cart toys. It was big.

A few days after Christmas Grandpa and Grandma Krosschell and Aunt Sarah and Julia came over for a couple of nights. It was warm so we traveled to the zoo. The kids has a lot of time to play together.
